## INTRODUCTION

A quadrilateral is a geometric figure with four sides, four vertices, and four angles. Its properties depend on the lengths of its sides, the sizes of its angles, and the parallelism of its sides.

## TYPES OF QUADRILATERALS

- **PARALLELOGRAM:** Opposite sides are parallel and equal in length.

- **RECTANGLE:** A parallelogram with four right angles.

- **RHOMBUS:** A parallelogram with four equal sides.

- **SQUARE:** Both a rectangle and a rhombus (all sides are equal, all angles are 90°).

- **TRAPEZOID (OR TRAPEZIUM):** Has at least one pair of parallel sides.

- **KITE (OR DELTOID):** Has two pairs of equal-length adjacent sides.

- Diagonals have different properties depending on the type of quadrilateral.
