# About Astra AI

> Astra AI is a personal AI tutor used by more than 10 million students, built in Slovenia to make one-to-one tutoring available to everyone.

## Our mission

Private tutoring works — but most students cannot afford it. Astra AI gives every student a patient tutor for every subject, available at midnight before the exam as much as on a Sunday afternoon.

## What we build

- An AI tutor that explains step by step instead of handing out answers
- Study plans built from your own notes and past papers
- Tools for [teachers](https://astra-ai.co/for-teachers/) and insight for [parents](https://astra-ai.co/for-parents/)

Astra AI started in Slovenia and now helps students in more than 40 countries, in their own language.
